28 Apr BPM Case Study – Quito Fire Department
Quito Fire Department is responsible for saving lives and protecting property, making timely and efficient actions in emergency care and prevention in the Metropolitan district of Quito, Ecuador.
In 2012, after having explored the potential benefits of business process management, the entity began to develop processes manually. However, these were theoretical procedures that required automation using software.
At this point, Quito Fire Department began to research the BPM software market in search of a tool that could guarantee process automation and execute their processes, turning them from theory into a real environment. This is how the entity came across AuraPortal software and BPM services.
After analyzing the services offered by AuraPortal, along with its strengths and capabilities, Quito Fire Department determined that the BPM software developer would be a great strategic ally in the development and implementation of their business processes.
The Fire Department sent a group of technicians to Spain to receive training on the tool. These technicians then took charge of their own process automations. Today, of the almost 100 processes that the entity has automated with AuraPortal software, approximately 80% have been implemented by Quito Fire Department’s technicians.
“We have used AuraPortal to automate the processes, to report the information in the processes, and above all, this intelligent system serves as a platform to encompass other organizational processes”. – Eber Arroyo Jurado, General Commander of Quito Fire Department.
