The political change after sixty years of continuance has helped a profound renovation in the Paraguayan public administration, both in its directives as in its business processes.
The Ministry of Health is one of the largest ministries and with the biggest budget in Paraguay, and it is devoted, with international cooperation, to the definition and implementation of a new system of health information that incorporates new management models supported by modern information and communication technologies.
The conception of AuraPortal is totally orientated to Internet and to the Services Orientated Architecture (SOA). Incorporating the WSDL (Web Services Description Language) and the building of these WEB Services is carried out using SOAP technology.
The
BPM
system of
AuraPortal has been evaluated by the international
market analyst firm
Gartner Inc., as
one
of the best in the world for the Management of
Processes, and graded as 'Example of the next generation'
of this type of software.

The recently created Direction General of Strategic Health Information, responsible for coordinating all the actions referent to the management of the health information of the ministry, is going to support the improvement and automation management of the ministry and the quality of the data processing, the health information and knowledge, with a system of business process administration, BPM, with the intention of improving the efficiency of these processes and integrate them using the TIC’s in an agile and dynamic way.
An important and experienced national technician,
Julio Perrotta, hired to advise and manage the
modernizing process of the ministerial systems commented that "with
this decision we are overtaking the strong world tendency and from
which there is no escape for the Paraguayan public administration,
which must manage the information using the concept of management by
way of processes and powerful tools that a good
BPM
suite brings in an integrated form, such as
Automation of Business Processes, Document Handling,
Internet Portal
administration,
Intranet (collaboration),
Business Rules,
integration with diverse systems already existing or build new ones"
.
Its
technology and its conception as platform that integrate all the
activities that are carried out both in the company and in entities
and organisms,
are a revolution in management software.
In fact, the synergy that is unchains the integration of all these
