The Naval Academy of Cadets in Colombia Automates its Processes with the BPM of AuraPortal

The Naval Academy of Cadets Almirante Padilla in Colombia has started organizing its educational programs using the AuraPortal BPMS platform.

ArchiveNet, Partner of AuraPortal in Colombia, announced today that the Naval Academy of Cadets Almirante Padilla in Cartagena (Colombia) has signed a technological agreement with AuraPortal, which will allow them to implement and develop programs of research and education in BPM technologies using the powerful AuraPortal BPMS platform.

The project is part of the current academic Internationalization Partnership set up by the Naval Academy of Cadets, for which the globalization processes have established requirements and demands in Universities and Institutes of Higher Education that go beyond the national and regional geographical limits. The competition given at world level has created a permanent challenge in the preparation of the human talent and the Alma Mater of Colombia´s National Navy cannot ignore this challenge.

The Naval Academy of Cadets Almirante Padilla develops educational programs in its faculties of Naval Sciences, Naval Engineering, Marine Corps, Physical Oceanography, Social Sciences and Humanities and Shipping Administration. And with this last one, Archivenet has started to structure educational programs using the AuraPortal BPMS platform.

About the Naval Academy of Cadets Almirante Padilla

The Naval Academy of Cadets Almirante Padilla (http://www.escuelanaval.edu.co) was founded in 1935 under the need of Colombia´s national Government to gain a dissuasive and believable naval power, and the demand to create a military profession applied to the seas and rivers that surround the national territory.

From 1977, naval education has been acknowledged as a University by the National Ministry of Education (MEN). This allowed the Naval Academy of Cadets "Almirante Padilla" to convert into the first Institution of Higher Education with Naval-Military character in Colombia, with registers qualified to develop graduate and postgraduate programs with the quality standards required by the MEN. In this effort, professors, researchers, deans, heads of department, coordinators, graduates, students and all the community integrated by the Alma Mater of the National Navy, continue the work that was set up seventy five years ago.
