After a selection period lasting more than one year, AuraPortal has been the selected Business Process Management Suite (BPMS) for the automation and control of the processes of the National Insurance Institute (INS) of Costa Rica. This decision of the INS consolidates the hegemony of AuraPortal in the Government Institutions of Latin America countries among the rest of BPMS vendors. The extension of this hegemony to other markets in the world is the present goal of AuraPortal. The first paragraphs of the document calling for bidders are reproduced below. The National Insurance Institute (INS) of Costa Rica rises an invitation to interested enterprises to participate in the bidding “UUA-00001-2008” for the “Diagnosis and the Suggested Solution for the Development of Information Technologies Systems”. The participants must be of the highest international level with broad and recognized experience in projects successfully implemented on the subject and organizational process structure in insurance companies with a minimum throughput of US$250 million/year. The National Insurance Institute (INS) was created on October, 30, 1924 with the purpose of giving support to the necessities of protection of the people of Costa Rica. With an existence of more than 80 years the INS has the clear goal of providing insurance to its customers. Aside from providing insurance the INS offers health services thru its INS-Health, a big medical institution that also involves the cooperation of all medical services in the country. | ||||||||||||||||||||
