About the Magic Quadrant
The Magic Quadrant represents graphically (using an axis of coordinates) the relative strength of the principal world vendors of BPMS’s and bases its evaluation on two criterion: the Business Vision (horizontal axis) and the Execution Capacity of the companies (vertical axis).
- The companies with more Business Vision are those that stand out for their understanding of the market strategy by offering the product which is the most innovative.
- The Execution Capacity takes into account criterion such as the presence in the mature markets (USA, Canada and Australia), image and brand visibility in the market or high prices.
As Gartner has specified, it does not recommend specifically those that stand out in a determined criteria. Instead it works as an investigation tool and it is the users that must evaluate the most important criterion for their case.

Just as happened in the previous edition in 2007, the analyst firm Gartner Inc., in its ‘Magic Quadrant’ publication of 2009, includes AuraPortal in the selection of the 22 best BPMS (Business Process Management Suite) suppliers and products in the world, saying:
“AuraPortal keeps delivering an example of the next generation of BPMS, where the models can be executed immediately without need for even one line of programming”.
This acknowledgement, exclusively given to AuraPortal, is the best guarantee that can be expected from a company as prestigious as Gartner Inc.
A fact that stands out is the positive evolution of AuraPortal in the report, as it is the solution that most places has scaled, situating itself as leader in the quadrant of the Visionaries, and in front of the majority in the matter of Vision.
The Magic Quadrant, with Gartner Inc. copyright in 2009, can only be used with the permission of the consultancy company. It is a tool of graphic representation in a market in a specific moment and for a concrete period of time. It represents the analysis of Gartner about how some suppliers meet the criterion defined by the consultancy company for a sector of a determined market.
